Frequently asked questions

Where should I stay to visit the Amalfi Coast in 4 days?
The best base is Amalfi: centrally located, well served by SITA buses and ferries, with a good selection of B&Bs and hotels. Alternatively, Praiano offers peace and lower prices, or Maiori if you prefer the beach. With 4 days it's best to stay in one base to avoid moving luggage around.
How much does a 4-day trip to the Amalfi Coast cost?
Average budget per person (4 nights): accommodation €60-120/night (B&B/3* hotel), transport €30-50 total (bus+ferries), meals €25-40/day, entrance fees €20-30 total. Estimated total: €400-700 per person in shoulder season, excluding travel to reach the Coast.
4 days on the Coast: is high or low season better?
May-June and September-October are the ideal months: perfect weather for hiking, fewer crowds on buses, and lower prices. July-August is possible but buses are packed, car parks are full, and beaches are crowded. With 4 days, shoulder season lets you enjoy everything at a relaxed pace.
Can I hike the Path of the Gods on this itinerary?
Yes, Day 3 is dedicated to the Path of the Gods (Bomerano-Nocelle, 7.8 km, 2-3 hours). You reach Bomerano by SITA bus from Amalfi (45 min). You'll need hiking shoes, water and sun protection. The trail is rated E (hiking) and presents no technical difficulties.
