Practical tips

In July and August, book tickets the day before: first morning sailings (7:00–8:30) sell out quickly.
Hydrofoils don't run in rough seas (Beaufort 4–5): always check marine weather forecasts.
The embarkation port in Naples for almost all routes is Molo Beverello (Piazza Municipio). Medmar departs from Pozzuoli.
With young children, the ferry is more stable than the hydrofoil: less rolling, accessible outdoor deck.
Return tickets can be purchased on the island - no need to buy the return leg upfront.
